What "Clogged" Actually Means

When a disposable vape feels blocked, the airway between the coil chamber and the mouthpiece has usually collected condensed vapor. Warm vapor travels up a narrow channel, cools against the plastic, and settles as tiny droplets. Enough droplets and the draw goes tight, quiet, or produces a faint gurgle instead of vapor.

Condensation is normal on every draw-activated device, including the Lost Mary lineup. It builds faster in cold weather, after the device rides in a pocket or bag, and when a device sits unused for several days.

Step 1: Check the Mouthpiece Opening

Look straight into the mouthpiece in good light. Lint from a pocket, crumbs, or a bead of liquid at the opening will restrict airflow before anything internal does. Wipe the outside of the mouthpiece with a dry paper towel or a clean cloth, then wipe the base of the device where the air intake sits.

Do not push cotton swabs, pins, paper clips, or toothpicks down the channel. Anything rigid can damage the internal seal, and fibres left behind make the blockage worse.

Step 2: Clear the Airway with Draws

With the device upright, take three or four short, gentle draws without inhaling. The airflow alone lifts most condensation clear. These are sometimes called priming puffs, and they are also useful on a device that has been sitting idle.

If the draw is still tight, cover the air intake at the base with a fingertip, take one firm pull, then release and draw normally. The brief pressure change dislodges droplets that shallow puffs leave behind.

Step 3: Tap and Rest

Hold the device mouthpiece down over a paper towel and tap the body against your palm a few times. Gravity plus a light tap moves pooled liquid away from the airway. Leave the device standing upright, mouthpiece up, for five to ten minutes before trying again.

Gentle warming helps as well: hold the device in a closed hand for a minute or two. Body heat thins condensation enough for it to clear on the next draw.

Preventing Clogs

Store the device upright rather than lying flat, keep it out of hot cars and freezing pockets, and pause a few seconds between draws so the airway is not saturated with warm vapor. No. Water and electronics do not mix, and heat sources near a lithium battery are unsafe. Airflow, gravity, and body heat are the only methods we recommend.
